Taipei, October 19, 2024 — The Center for Industry Collaboration and Innovation-Incubation (CICII) recently launched its Hult Prize On-Campus Competition with a dynamic workshop on “Team Formation and Networking.” The event began with a welcome speech by Professor Lin, COO of CICII, who expressed strong support for the students and encouraged them to pursue their ambitions, highlighting the center's crucial role in nurturing startups.

Following Chief Operating Officer Lin’s welcome, NCCU Hult Prize Campus Director Kimberly Chen introduced the competition, outlining the goals of the Hult Prize. She energized the students with words of encouragement and drew from her own experience as a former competitor to inspire participants to fully embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Next, Angelica Urbina, CEO and co-founder of Fabreco, shared her personal experience with the competition. She encouraged students to embrace challenges, think creatively, and remain resilient. Her inspirational message urged participants to push beyond their limits, collaborate, and seize every opportunity to grow and make a lasting impact.

The workshop then transitioned into interactive icebreaker activities, starting with “Hot Potato,” where participants introduced themselves while tossing a ball. This was followed by the “Tallest Building” challenge, where teams worked together to construct the tallest structure using limited materials. The session concluded with a speed elevator pitch activity, allowing participants to share ideas and connect with potential teammates.

Thanks to the strong support from CICII and the efforts of the NCCU Hult Prize campus committee, the workshop was a great success. It set a positive tone for the competition, ensuring participants are well-prepared for their entrepreneurial journeys. "We will continue to offer workshops, mentoring sessions, and team development activities in the coming months. I look forward to seeing the innovative ideas this new cohort will develop, and I’m confident we can provide them with the support they need to succeed," said Kimberly Chen.
